Watch a Jeweler Make a Solid Gold Han Solo From a LEGO Figurine

Even if you own every Star Wars LEGO set known to mankind, this piece is most likely missing from your vast collection.

The jeweler and tinkerer behind the YouTube channel JerryRigEverything created this 14-karat gold Han Solo figurine from a plastic LEGO piece. After coating it with plaster, the toy was then popped into an ultra-hot burnout furnace. Jeweler's kilns can reach temperatures as high as 2000 degrees, and while Han may have survived being encased in carbonite (and Pop-Tarts), this time around he wasn't so lucky. The plastic LEGO inside was completed vaporized, leaving behind a perfect mold to create its solid-gold replica.
