Watch a Short the Duffer Brothers Made Before Stranger Things

Nine years before the '80s-inspired Netflix series Stranger Things captured the attention of fans, its creators, the Duffer Brothers (Matt Duffer and Ross Duffer), were attending Dodge College—and making their first attempts to spook audiences.

Their student film (shown below) Eater is based on the Peter Crowther short story of the same name. It follows a rookie cop who encounters eerie activity during his night shift, and similarly to Stranger Things, features both a monster and a mounting body count. As io9 notes, this is their second credited work together, their first being We All Fall Down, which is not currently available online. Take a look below.
