His own brush with genius: As a child he wiped his nose on Frank Sinatra's pants and once saw Tommy Lasorda naked. He has interviewed several Nobel Prize winners and has written for The Chrionicle of Higher Educatuion, Nature, San Francisco Magazine and ScientificAmerican.com.
