I started college in my early 30's - 3 kids, single Mom, 2 part-time jobs - but I still had the same obsession about grades. That is until a advisor noticed that I had that deer-in-the-headlights look and was living on an '-ene' diet (caffeine, nicotine). All she had to do to snap me out of it was ask me "What do you call the person who graduates last in hi Med School class?". That pretty much gave me the reality check I needed.
