My wife just showed me this clip, which she’d watched earlier tonight on Ellen (via TiVo). I’m working on a list of the most elaborate weddings in history, which should be ready by the weekend. But had the list been “weddings I most regret missing,” this one would crack the top three. If you’re offended by pelvic thrusting or any of Sir Mix-a-lot’s work, you might want to take a pass.
Nice. That was actually some pretty good dancing.

That may be, but nobody should play this song for any reason. It’s a damn novelty song, and it’s seemingly unkillable. It was nice that they made it their own, though.

I’m sure you’ve already got the Thriller Dance wedding on your list, right? I’m a sucker for spontaneous choreographed dancing. :)

I wish I was clever enough to get my dinosaur video tape from my own wedding linked to you. About 2 dozen of us (bride, groom and friends) did a minimally choreographed, wonderfully energetic dance to Istanbul (not Constantinople) by TMBG. It was the best part of the reception in my opinion.

It’s pretty cool. But all I could imagine is 20 years from now them showing their kids their wedding video, and the kids saying what where you thinking?

What in the name of…. Well, my cousin’s husband and all of his groomsmen did the YMCA in full Village People attire at her wedding, so I guess this could have been worse.

I LOVE THIS VIDEO! I want to meet this couple. I have shown it to everyone at work and we really enjoy it. However, when I sent it to my boyfriend with a message saying… “We are fun people, we should do this!” he said that I should enjoy my little fantasy while it lasted. Per Caitlen315’s suggestion I also sent him the Thriller one… and his response was “ummmmm……..no.” Oh well.

I found this one (in my website link) when I was planning my wedding–similar surprise with the first dance. Hehe.

My husband and I walked in to “Ms. New Booty”-Bubba Sparks. Our first dance came later, but it was a pretty funny introduction.

Wonderful!!!
I saw you today on the Ellen D. show. I wish you both the best. I would like to see you both dancing the same why on your 50th. for your grand kids 80s.

This was very creative, fun and upbeat. Very non-tradition. The spontenatity (sp?) was awesome. I think for anyone not to like this, is either jealous they didn’t think of it, or their lives are that lonely. It was the perfect song!

So funny! This is the best wedding dance I’ve ever seen and I also wish I had been invited to the wedding. I wonder what grandma thought? :)

I just saw this clip and it is hilarious—thought of a friend of mine who always does a karaoke of this song at parties. We didn’t have a cool dance at my wedding, but we did enter to “No Easy Way Out” from “Rocky” with some of my groomsmen doing pushups in the reception hall like they were working out.
