This Weekend Genius Challenge is short but sweet. We’re looking for a specific answer to the question below. While there are likely multiple answers to this particular query, only one will match ours. If you’re the lucky first to do so, you’ll win a T-shirt of your choice from the mental floss store. The question:

California has four, Texas has three, Florida has two, and New York has one. What are they?

    California has four, Texas has three, Florida has two, and New York has one. What are they?

    Different vowels in the names of their capital cities?

    New York’s capital is Albany, with 1 vowel, a, in it.

    Florida’s capital is Tallahassee, with 2 different vowels, a and e, in it.

    Texas’ capital is Austin, with 3 different vowels, a, u and i, in it.

    California’s capital, Sacramento, has ….uh, oh… only 3 different vowels, a, e and o, in it.

    I told you it wasn’t the right answer.
