Winston: You’re crazy! The Birmingham skyline is inspiring when you’re homesick! When I saw the picture, before I read the post, I said “Whoah! I can answer whatever they ask, I know everything about Birmingham!”

I really do miss the place sometimes. Chicago is tooooo huge, but I do like the skyline here better.

Interesting fact. The Birmingham grid isn’t true North/South. When the Bellsouth building was put up (the skyscraper to the far left in the picture), the architect to fit to a proper city grid, which is why it looks crooked.

My hometown still has one of the most uninspiring skylines ever.

Even Nashville, where I live now, feels huge compared to it.

It looks like that picture was taken from my grandparents condo on Red mountain though.
