this girl needs to go to school and get an education, at least that way she has something substantial to fall back on...and for such an average looking girl (nothing that sparks "special") she sure seems over confident. Isabella/ Isobella, you need to seriously get a life!

I think each and everyone of the people commenting are jaded (but comfortable) twits, and I've lived a similar experience when living in London. Yes I'm sure she could probably muster the cash for a cdr, but I've felt the pangs of spending any money when you're down & out (and you can't generally buy a single cdr). I definitely know people who use electronics stores for purposes of checking emails and other similar things. I think this story is great.

And who gives the slightest shit if the book isn't backed by a real publisher? Fucking hell, we live in a YouTube world where people become famous in their own right without reliance upon corporations deciding who can make them the most money. Why do you think things like blurb.com exists? Self-publication is the future of writing just as YouTube was the future of video and it along with myspace being the future of music, and blogs being the future of journalism.

Not to mention, if it were a advert issue with Apple, wouldn't they have gotten a publisher involved after she'd self-published?

As for the creating things at work issue, typically only those things in the scope of employment may be transferred to the employer (i.e., those things for which you were hired to do), thus as it sounds like you are just doing completely non-work-related things, you might get fired, but not have your copyrights taken from you.

This article is complete trash, at least label something as advertising before passing it of as actual content. The book is not even backed by a real publisher...
