Weekend Genius Challenge #14 Winner!
by Sandy - January 7, 2008 - 11:24 AM

Congratulations to Meri, who successfully figured out the answer to edition #14 of our Weekend Genius Challenge:

Our question was to find the common link amongst these words:

bicentennial, hallucinogen, hitchhiker, reincarnation, unfamiliar.

The answer was that each word could be spelled using a string of atomic element symbols:

Bi + Ce + N + Te + N + Ni + Al

H + Al + Lu + C + In + O + Ge + N

H + I + Tc + H + H + I + K + Er

Re + In + Ca + Rn + At + I + O + N

Un + F + Am + I + Li + Ar

Nice job Meri, and thanks to all the participants who kept coming up with more and more plausible answers. See you next weekend!
