I, too, live in NH and have all my life. I don't ever remember it [the primary] being as nutz as it was this year! We had more door-knockers than we did at Halloween -- no joke! And those endless phone calls that start at 8AM and don't end until 10PM seven days a week since November. Go away already! But thank you for dumping all your money here! Having the candidates, their roadies and all of the media here has been an economic boom for the hotels, diners and coffee shops across the state. That's the only reason we put up with it! We won't see any of them again because after the clock strikes midnight we go back to being an insignificant state with only two electoral votes.

I am also from NH and I hate all the political craziness. Right after New Years we start getting phone calls all day from recordings trying to get your vote. And not just a few calls... we get up to 25 a day. Also, the commercials and radio announcements are insane.

It is kinda nice to get some attention though, otherwise we would totally be forgotten. And while we are pretty representative of the US population, but I wish they would just cool it a little.

New Hampshire takes its politics, both locally and nationally, very seriously. There is a strong sense of community and commitment here, exceeding that which I have experienced elsewhere in the places in the US where I have lived (OH, FL, CA, TN, ME, & VA). I have voted today, and expect that our state has broken turnout records. Not a bad example. Now, let's see how accurate we were...

I live in NH and plan to vote today (I'm registered Independent but that doesn't matter). Until moving to NH, I had never been as politically informed. It's a great state for that. By the way, my little town, and probably most little towns (which there are very many), if not all towns in NH, use paper ballots, not that new fangled machine you got pictured up there.

I'm not usually on the up-and-up when it comes to politics (shame on me for my non-patriotism), so it was no surprise that this was the first year I'd heard of a caucus, or that Iowa and New Hampshire are generally determinates of votes to come. What is surprising is that now that I've heard about this, I see it everywhere! It's kind of like the rest of non-political America has caught up on this trend as well. It seems every news article I read is talking about Iowa and New Hampshire.

Or perhaps its just that I read more news these days . . .
