Boingboing just turned me on to this incredible site called Tesla Down Under. Apparently, the site is devoted to “detailing almost 200 high voltage projects” and the results are jaw-dropping. Take a look at these two pics. I don’t really know what they are, and I wouldn’t really want to be in the area while anyone was conducting them, but man are those photos wonderful! In any case, if you’re at all interested in accidentally electrocuting yourself, this page should give you plenty of ideas.

it’s also pretty cool to see a fluorescent light being lit up by a tesla coil. it doesn’t need to be plugged in, just hold it in your hand!
