I’m 5′0 1/2 too. Everybody knows me for being short. I have a 7 year old nephew who is up to my eyes when he stands next to me.

I’m sooo getting this book. Being 5′1/2″ (yes I am counting 1/2 of an inch) I seem to be the shortest person in the room most of the time. The worst part is when my sister was @9 she surpassed me in hight, I was 16 at the time. I have a feeling her kids are going to do the same. Her oldest is already past my navel and she is only 3. I feel ya’ll’s pain.

Hey, Caitlen… got you beat, although my Driver’s License says I’m 4′10″ (I honestly believed I was) – it turns out I’m only 4′8.5″

My mother is 5′2″ and my father is 6′4″…I will definitely be getting her this book.

I also understand how most people can feel short. I’m 5′4″–average height for women is 5′3″ to 5′6″–but grew up in a family of tall people (many cousins and a brother over 6′).

Moving to San Antonio was a saving grace because I’m as tall as or taller than many people down here. Of course, my boyfriend is 6′2″ so I still feel short most of the time.

I find it very interesting that 80% of peple think they’re short. I can see how that is true. I used to go to school with two people who were 6′8″ or taller. That would make anyone feel short, especially since the taller of the two was a girl.
