I felt like such an idiot this weekend – someone started humming the Slinky theme song (while I was playing with one in a store, mind you) and I thought it was the Log Song from Ren and Stimpy. When telling the story later, I thought it was hysterical that they replaced the Log lyrics with Slinky, until someone pointed out that it was actually the Slinky song to begin with. Oops!

Trivial Pursuit: supposedly a repository of knowledge, yet their Genus IV edition misspells “Categories” (catagories, according to T.P.) on the instructions sheet :(

A bit of trivia about Trivial Pursuit is that when they licensed the game in the U.S., they were required to replace one question. The Question was”How many months pregnant was Nancy Davis when she married Ronald Reagan?” The Answer was “Two”.

Yes the world would have truly been a sad place without Trivial Pursuit. What would I have spent all those afternoons in my grandparents house doing? I had heard the Lincoln Log story before, but I also work in a Frank Lloyd Wright museum store http://www.westcotthouse.org. I am a bigger fan of the Froebel Block and Lego though.
