Sandy and Kara originally posted The Quarter Backs Quiz on July 2, 2007. The quiz has been taken more than 1.1 million times, from nursing homes to middle schools. It’s by far our most popular challenge. As coin quizzes go, it’s a movement.
We’ve received emails requesting a print version, so computer-illiterate friends can get in on the action. People have actually complained about states that were excluded. And over 700 folks left comments to report their scores.
So if you’re not one of the 1.1 million, it’s time to test your knowledge of spare change and state iconography…
Take The Quarter Backs Quiz.
[The Count-Up resumes tomorrow morning.]
Quiz taker number 931577.
19 out of 20. (I knew it was a trick, but I got the first one wrong.)

I demand a recount. Is there such a thing as online hanging Chads?

19/20
I was tempted to cheat, but did not. The sunflowers escaped me.

100%, but I admit to hemming and hawing over the Maine/Rhode Island one.
I didn’t recall that quite so many of these quarters had buffalo on them! Pair that up with the buffalo nickel, and he might just give the eagle a run for his money (ha ha).

65%. Of course while taking it, I realized I’d gotten earlier ones wrong.
I noticed the buffalo too, muffy…here and I though Kansas was special. Psh…
