Aw shucks, wish I had seen the earlier post. Not that my stories come ANYWHERE near Jessica’s, but my house definitely had some weird things happen. The weirdest was when I had a friend sleep over (breaking the cliche of things happening to only one person at a time). It was about 1am or so and we were just crawling into bed/sleeping bags. We’d had a candle lit earlier in the evening-we were 13-but blew it out three hours before. All of a sudden my friend says “Uh….Kaaaaaate?” and I turn and look-the candle was burning as brightly as if it had just been lit. Ran into my parents’ room freaked beyond all belief, and when they came back with us the candle was nearly out, like it had been burning for hours. I asked my chem teacher the next day about it, and he was clueless…….

My mom also regularly hears footsteps, and occasionally the lights will do something odd.

My house, by the way, is in a highly populated area in a very old town. My house is about 80 years old-not very-but to this day, as a 23 year old woman, I’m afraid to sleep in my own room when I’m home because of all the weird things and standard old house creaks.

Jessica, you have earned my respect.

Love these stories! I always thought I wanted to live in a haunted house, but I have to re-think that now…I’ve never had one single other-worldly encounter, but having toys thrown at you, or ghosts talking to you in the middle of the night isn’t my idea of a fun time…

Why do all the weird freaky things happen to folks in the middle of nowhere?

If it wasn’t in PA, I’d be all over that! I want to live in the country and ghosties don’t usually bother me too much. I bother them back!

Um, whoa. I got really freaked out just reading Jessica’s post about her house. JESUS H. CHRIST if I had to live there I probably would have died.
