In Seattle, there was a huge sign in the industrial area south of downtown advertising “BUFFALO SANITARY WIPES”. They’ve sadly changed their name now to Buffalo Industries. Seattle also has its own branch of T&A Supply.

In El Paso, TX, there is a towing company called Kamel Towing. In downton El Paso, there is a small shop called Not Just a Flower Shop, or something to that effect.

In Albuquerque (sp), NM, there is a pawn shop called The Happy Hocker.

Also, at Purdue University, there is a family-owned diner called XXX. The food is amazing, but people who don’t know what it is always assume the worst. It was featured on the Food Network on Diner, Drive-Ins, and Dives.

Where I live in northern Indiana, there is a store called Wild Birds Unlimited, selling a variety of bird feed and birdhouses, right next to Wings, Etc., a popular place for chicken wings. I dunno, it always seemed funny to me.

I have also seen a place called Rock Bottom Tavern.

I am from the Cincinnati area and the Tom Raper commercials are constantly on rotation, he even has a little jingle “save today Tom Raper’s way”

Also, while driving through Nashville, IN I saw the “Hoosier Buddy” liquor store and the ‘Westward “HO”‘ (their quotes and capitalization) campground.

I dunno about the states, but here in Canada, The Brick is one of the most popular furniture and appliance stores around. There are branches all over the place. I don’t think “Brick” in one of those pictures is from the franchise, though, because the logo doesn’t look at all the same.

There is a liquor store in Calgary, AB Canada called “Liquor Box”. They sell t-shirts that say, “I went down to Liquor Box and all I got was this t-shirt!”
