Not sure if it’s still there, but years ago in Columbia, Mo there was a place called “Liquor Guns and Ammo”. Talk about one stop shopping.

There is also a muffler place in Pine Bluff that advertises “NO MUFF TOO TUFF”. Ha!

In San Juan, Puerto Rico, we ran across a Condom World. The name alone doesn’t do it justice, but the picture of a smiley faced planet with a resevoir tipped condom on top was priceless.

Here in Kokomo we have a White’s meat market that for many years used to advertize on a sign out front “You can’t beat our meat!” The market is still in business but someone eventually told them of the other meaning of what they intended and they changed it.

North of Detroit Lakes Mn years ago was a sign with big letters; COMPLETE ERECTION,PARTIAL ERECTION, MATERIALS ONLY then in small letters at the bottom, Calloway Lumber Yard, which could only be seen when close to the sign on Hi 59.

Someone mentioned it above, “Hit and Run Liquor” in New Orleans. It is much funnier when you see it because it is in a little strip mall with a 24 hour check cashing center and a drive through Daquiri shop. Also, there is a bar in Bush, Louisiana called “Dick’s in Bush”.

In St. Louis there was a place called BJ’s Drive-Thru Liquor & Cigarettes & Limo Service. I still wish I had gotten a picture of it…

Near where I live is “Assumption Cemetary” I know the religious meaning, but every time I pass by, I think, “man I want them sure I am dead, not just assuming I died.”
