My dog likes to eat the poop from the wild rabbits that live around our house. Its nearly impossible to stop her, it seems like the rabbits prefer to poop in our yard instead of anywhere else. When picking up her poop after a thaw, there is usually as much or more rabbit poop than doggie poop.

@Cosmicbrat: your language is offensive! On this site, of all places, can't we express ourselves intelligently?

My iguana has white liquid poops and solid brown ones. I'm guessing it's the same story as birds.

Cosmicbrat, yeast infections are NOT caused by fecal contamination. You would have a bacterial infection from that. Yeast is not a bacteria. A yeast infection occurs when the normal balance of organisms in the vagina goes off-kilter and the yeast multiplies too much (you have too much yeast in relation to other organisms there, in other words).

You can throw vaginal balances off by having a poor diet (some sensitive women find that too much sugar and refined carbs in their diet causes them to have recurrent yeast infections), douching, and I'm sure there are other factors involved. I'm also sure that fecal contamination is not one of them.

With that being said, we women do need to be careful not to introduce fecal matter into the vaginal environment. Although it wouldn't cause a yeast infection, it could cause other infections. No good!

Heterocephalus glaber, aka, the Naked Mole Rat, feeds cecotrophs to its young. It's how they pass on the bacteria necessary to digest the tough cellulose of roots. They also roll in poop to identify themselves as members of their colony.

I saw them in Oregon... they were pretty cool... but really, really stinky.

PS Everyone Poops is awesome - most potty training books don't actually show you poop, it's hard to get the abstract across. I'd also recommend Potty Poo Poo Wee Wee. For any parent struggling - persistence, and really stylin' underwear worked both times for me. Rewards just didn't work. And give it time - three years old is just fine. Five is not, though!

Re: the 10 poopies from Liz: you forgot the "Ambush poopie": where you try to fart, just a little, but out comes a poopie.

Recaptcha: has agrippa. How apoopriate.

http://www.amazon.com/Someone-Pooped-Little-Whodunit-Business/dp/8971964707

Here's a book I have about a mole who goes around asking people who pooped on his head. He asks all sorts of animals and each of them shows the mole that it couldn't have been them because their poop isn't like the poop on his head. Of course, they each take turns showing the mole what their poop looks like. It's actually quite interesting, but it's in Korean.
