Many tree-houses I see look more like houses on piles than true tree-houses, and there are some larger ones that appear out of place or to somehow "overwhelm" the tree and/or the naturalness/natural aesthetics of the tree/forest.
On the other hand, some of La Cabane Perchee's houses for example, seem closer to my notion of a decent treehouse.

Leah, anything is possible! I wouldn't mind a sky-high tub myself.

Any Forever Young tree houses coming to Hawaii?? I LOVE tree houses! Well, having never actually been in one aside from a wooden plank or two nailed to a tree branch, I guess I can't really say. But when I buy a house I'm going to make sure there's a sweet tree in the yard and build myself a tree house. No kids allowed. I wonder how hard it would be to put a hot tub in it? Heh.

We have a beautiful Forever Young treehouse at The Hole in the Wall Gang Camp in CT. It was amazing to watch them build it, and the kids just love it.
