Improv Everywhere targets a food court with a “spontaneous” musical number. Talk about added value with your Happy Meal!

How To Terminate a Terminator. You’ll need a pretty scary arsenal, or a smelting vat.

A paleoanthropologist goes on vacation and finds ancient bones of small humans in Palau. Some people just don’t know how to leave the office behind.

The seven Smelliest Creatures in the World. Believe it or not, the skunk came in at only #3!

How to defend your coffee habit. Of all the things you could be addicted to, coffee is one you can really argue for.

A news anchorman and a reporter get personal on the air. I’d hate to be in their shoes the next day when the management comes in.

Satan’s Ice Cream Truck has the creepiest ice cream music ever. I thought I liked it, til it was stuck in my head all day long!

Powerbocks are spring-loaded stilts that enable you to leap like lemurs! Is it coincidence, or is technology imitating mother nature?

Keep outer space beautiful! The junk we’ve been rocketing into orbit around the Earth since the space age began may be reaching a critical mass.

  1. Hmmm…the anchor (Jim Ryan) vs the reporter has got to be old. I don’t think Jim is on that station any more. I don’t think he’s on period.

Maybe next time you can find the infamous clip of Jim with the big booger running out of his nose. (I’ve only heard of it…not sure I’d want to see it).

  2. Do you recall if this situation had anything to do with his off-air status?

  3. The whole space junk thing is so crazy because in 1995-ish as a 6th grade student, I remember how I wanted to do my environmental project on how we are polluting space with our “junk” but I could not find any research on the topic! HA!

  4. Love the musical number — and I know the hot dog on a stick girl, that’s Heather!

  5. Miss Cellenia, actually I don’t. That footage was taken from our Fox affliate (don’t know when) and then Jim moved “up” to the CBS station…of course what happened after that I haven’t a clue. As far as I know he’s not on either of the stations any more (or NBC or ABC for that matter).

  6. Addendum: According to wikipedia:
he began co-anchoring Good Day New York in 1988, a position he held until 2005, when he went into “retirement”. WNYW threw an on-air retirement celebration for him, only to a few months later be lured out of retirement (as it was put on-air by weatherman and close friend Dave Price), when he was hired to join the anchor team at CBS 2 News This Morning. Ryan (and the other anchors) were replaced in April 2006 in a major shake-up at WCBS-TV.

  7. If you liked that Improve Everywhere bit, check out their other missions. Personally I liked their invasion of Best Buy and the synchronized freezing in Grand Central Station.
