I've known about Engineers Without Borders for a couple years now. My sister's best friend had the opportunity to go with a group from Utah State University to Uganda where they installed solar panels and dug a well at an orphanage/school.

Her experience was a little different in that they asked her to make a documentary about it. You can see clips of it at her website.

Although Gram Parsons death was a tragic loss of an extremely talented man, who launched the careers of the thousands of artists. The story of the theft of Gram Parsons body has got to be one the funniest rock and roll stories of all time. Thanks for the link and a new movie to add to my netflix queue.

I'm really excited I didn't make it on The 8 Least Impressive Guinness Records. I made it into the 2007 edition for reading out loud in a team marathon event. It doesn't sound that bad until you realize that you can't leave the site, so I was stuck in a bookstore for 5 days sleeping in a tent when I wasn't reading!

My friend loves Peeps and she'll stock up at every major Peep holiday. She's said that Peeps are much better stale; I'm not a Peep lover, but I have to agree - stale Peeps are tastier.
