I had never heard of this particular artist before. I'm sure I've come across some of his work because his Art Nouveau Style, like the work, above looks familiar. I looked up some of his other artwork and it's interesting to see how his earlier artwork is in the formal way he was taught(this was after he had already graduated with a Law Degree!) then developed his own style over time. I especially enjoyed the tidbit that HE inspired Picasso :) Who also was formally trained in art and could paint "photo realism" but chose to turn the art world on its ear with Cubism. I love to go to museums and my engineer Hubby (McSmarty)just looks at some of the art work and just says,"I don't get it. or I can do that." LOL ;) Thanks for sharing.
