Although they are still technically legal tender, high-denomination bills like the $1000 and $5000 were last printed in 1945. On July 14, 1969, in an attempt to decrease unlawful activities relating to organized crime, the Federal Reserve System officially discontinued this quirky currency.

Do you know whose faces grace these rare bills? And how familiar are you with the Presidents on your pocket change? Let’s find out.

One of my favorite trick questions is:
What President is on a $10 bill?
Answer is that there is NO President on the $10 spot. Alexander Hamilton was the first Treasurer.
