You should definitely try Zorbing on Rotorua... it's the only place (I think) in the world you can roll down a hill inside a giant ball. Not quite death defying, but SO much fun. All I saw was gorgeous green countryside, and Auckland far away-a good 30 miles if my memory is correct. If you're in the area, look up Skydive Auckland. Loads of fun. The guy I jumped with (tandem, of course :) went barefoot because he said he left his shoes in the clouds..... I went skydiving in Auckland a few years ago, and it was hands down one of the most incredible things I’ve ever done.
