That was a brilliant post may I say! I really appreciated it how you put the Youtube videos in the post, I watched all of them and they were brilliant! I love every single Peter Jackson film ever made, I actually own all of them! But I did find ‘Braindead’ to be his weakest film – don’t worry, that’s only my opinion. I will be chbecking this blog out more often now. Thank you so much!

so my dorm every year has something called pudding night. on pudding night we eat pudding and watch dead alive. i think you can guess when in the movie we eat the pudding. kick ass for the lord is the best part.

I was lucky enough to catch Dead-Alive in the Tivoli Theater in St. Louis last summer. Being a movie buff, I knew what to expect but my other friends attending had no clue. It was just a riot and I’m probably indifferent to most gore now (anything with eyes and wrists still irk me). No doubt it’s the best zombie movie I’ve seen, still gotta check out Return of the Living Dead though.

This Village Voice quote instantly brought to mind my favorite of the Shakespearean plays, Titus Andronicus. It’s billed as a tragedy but it’s just so utterly ridiculous and over the top that I find it hysterically entertaining. The quote is apt, because in the course of the play, the lead character’s daughter and has her hands and tongue cut off. (That’s in addition to “14 killings, 9 of them on stage, 6 severed members, 1 rape (or 2 or 3, depending on how you count), 1 live burial, 1 case of insanity and 1 of cannibalism.”)

In fact, I would love to see Peter Jackson’s version of Titus Andronicus!

Two of the greatest lines from one of the greatest schlock horror films in history. If you want some other great early Jackson, try “Meet the Feebles” (you’ll never look at the Muppets the same way) or “Bad Taste.”
