Rosa Parks, is about dancing, which is weird. But, Ms. Jackson is about Erykah Badu’s mom. Ms. Wright just didn’t work as well in lyrical form.

Also, a little love for one of the best kiss-off dance songs ever, Cry Me a River. Which is about Britney Spears and even featured a Brit look-a-like in the video. The lesson here, don’t cheat on JT with your choreographer.

Aerosmith’s “Dude Looks Like A Lady”??? Supposedly about a real run in with a “lady” after a concert, but I have heard multiple versions of who was involved.

“Hey there Deliah” is actually inspired by a pro steeplechaser-Deliah Decrenzo and when she won USA XC team nationals
the song was played.

just read Patti Boyd’s autobiography. The only songs she claims were written for her are ‘Something’ by Harrison, ‘Wonderful Tonight’ Clapton, and ‘Layla’ by Clapton. And @SoL- Axl Rose’s then girlfriend who inspired ‘Sweet Child o Mine’ was named Erin. I’m not sure but I think her last name is Everly, as in the Everly Bros. (offspring of one, I THINK).
