I've only been banned from depression websites, sadly, most of them because I was too depressed (I actually found out I'm bipolar/borderline). It's been a few years, and it's more managed now, and I'm close to completing my bachelor's degree (2 months 12 days, not that I'm counting)

I have to say the most memorable is when I had a particularly down day, and needed someone to vent to, so I talked to someone I trusted fairly well. I then went to work. About an hour into my shift, the police showed up to put me on a 72-hour psych hold because the person reported me. When I returned to the site after all this to ask why this happened, they told me nothing but "Ashley, you're banned for life. We know your home and school IP addresses, and we will report you for criminal trespassing if you ever come to our site again."

What a wonderful thing to say to someone whom you've reported as mentally unstable and potentially a danger to themselves, right?

It's ok, I'm better off without them, and if they didn't want me there, it's all for the best. Just think it's kinda counterproductive to ban a depressed person from a depression site.

I was banned from the Air Force Museum on Wright Patt Base as a child of the 70's for flying balsa wood planes off the balcony. I still think they may recognize me as an adult and worry when I take my family there now when they come to town. Being a tomboy, I'm still tempted to see those cheap little planes soar from the indoor balcony! I was learning basic flight skills. I was probably going to be a pilot when I grew up. Oh well....

I've been banned from three separate Wal-Marts,
each for a different (innocent, if not immature) offense. Most recently, I was banned for playing a drunken game of hide-and-seek with my friends at 3 AM.

Anecdotally, my brother and his friend were banned from a Mattress Firm when they decided to jump on the beds.

I don't think you should be proud of being banned from somewhere for causing property damage to that place or for doing something illegal such as stealing things (which ends up with all of us who DON'T steal having to pay higher prices to make up for your selfishness). But some of these are pretty lame excuses for being banned, e.g. the bus full of kids who were falsely accused of throwing a Big Mac out a window, and damasta's story is actually really, really dumb on the part of the school, because (a.) you weren't doing anything illegal or risky, (b.) you were actually engaged in something educational, and (c.) it caused you to do something dangerous, yet completely understandable. What a stupid school. I hope you moved on to a school that actually appreciated your scholasticism.

BTW, mega kudos to Acrobat! A lot of mommies who go online and just talk all day about being mommies are psychotic. There's a reason STFU Parents continues to thrive, and I'm sure that in spite of the revelations that the doctor who published that crap about vaccines being linked to autism was in fact paid by a law firm seeking to sue vaccine manufacturers to conjure up falsehoods about these links, these momdroids are too dead in the head to process any of this and are continuing to intentionally make their kids ill with illnesses that should've been vanquished fifty years ago such as measles and whooping cough.

I once dated a girl who worked at Dutch Wonderland. After three dates she didn't feel anything and dumped me. Later that year, I took my little cousin there. She walked right up to me and said I wasn't allowed in the park. I retorted that just because she dumped me doesn't mean I can't visit the park (I checked). She said I have no children and thus no reason to come. As she was about to call security, I told her I was bringing my cousin and I also had a cupon, not to mention she had told me it was the third best kids' park in the world when we were together. She relented, but "just this once."

I was banned from two fraternities in my first semester in college. The first one was for "attracting too much attention" because I was laying out in the sun by the nearby river when a cop came over to try and put a boat in the river. The second was for smoking pot behind the frat house.

My mom banned myself and my sister from going to the grocery store together and from riding in the front seat of the car. Both situations were because we fought like cats and dogs; neither ban lasted very long.

A friend and I were banned from a WalMart in a miniature town in East Texas for fighting with the toy foam swords. Fun part? We had a crowd of about seven or eight little kids watching us. Apparently we were good, but not good enough to stay... Went back two weeks later, and sword-fought an employee at midnight. Was not kicked out. Fun times.

When I was 3, I threw a tantrum in a Toys-r-us. My mother threatened to ban me from the store if I continued to act up. I continued and she made good on her promise. Any time I would start to act up anywhere else, she'd say, "Well, I guess we'll have to ban you from here, too," and that would shut me up.

I haven't been to a Toys-r-us in twenty years.

I was banned from a LJ community because I wasn't a parent and thus wasn't allowed my comments and opinions on child rearing, despite the fact I am full time carer to my disabled sister (who has a mental capacity of a 8 - 12 year old) and a 7 year old step-daughter.

I think they didn't like the fact I had evidence refuting the claims that immunisation causes Autism (degrees in health care and disability care) and because I personally felt that ADHD was way over diagnosed and the mothers on there whom spent 15 hours a day on the internet had hypo, misbehaving children because they were poor parents.

Yeah... I am such a bitch.

Oh, and I was banned on the HS oval for smoking... actually everyone was, because my friends and I were busted.

Then there was the fact the entire canteen at school had it's set up changed because my friends and I were stealing food. We were never banned because we were never caught.
