Funny how the dictionaries of the world do not differentiate between labyrinth and maze, and indeed the very coin you show is a maze by your definition yet a labyrinth by those who created the word.

My church First Congregation United Church of Christ uses the labyrinth shown in Chartres Church. It is such a great way to loose yourself in thought and meditate. We have a beautiful permanent one right outside our building

If by saying "Chartres Cathedral in Paris", you mean an hour outside the city in the town of Chartres, then I guess that's correct. I just wouldn't want people wandering around Paris, wondering why they cant find the labyrinth that you mention. That being said, it is certainly worth taking the train out to see the cathedral, as it is more impressive than Notre Dame which is of course, in Paris.

Walking through a labyrinth doesn't make me happy, but David Bowie's junk definitely does.

Grace Cathedral in San Francisco has two replicas of the Chartres labyrinth: one outdoors and one inside the church. Both are free to the public and the one outside can be used 24 hours a day.

There is a labyrinth about 100 feet from my apartment. I took a walk one Saturday when I was in undergrad and happened upon it; it was such a nice surprise and seemed just for me, just on that walk. My own little discovery. The second place I lived after I moved off campus, where I live now, is so close to it that it still feels meant for me! One time I rollerbladed through it.

Our university (University of Redlands, CA) recently "laid" a labyrinth. I haven't walked it, but I hear that it is very relaxing. Unfortunately, this Sunday promises to deliver a temperature in the 90's and it's only April!

The Tri Delta sorority donated a labyrinth to the Ole Miss campus. I just figured that the whole one path with no walls thing was to prevent drunk students from causing a ruckus in the middle of the night when they got lost.

Since the Tri Delta symbol is one triangle made up of three smaller ones, it brought back fond memories of Legend of Zelda.
