Yaay! 100%! All of those hours spent watching cable TV were not in vain afterall! Well, okay, my mom was at work a lot and I had no siblings or friends, so TV it was. Nick and I spent a lot of quality time together.

I’m shocked no one has mentioned Danger Mouse yet. I also watched a lot of Nick at Nite when it came out which improved my relations with and understanding of people older than I was.

My son now knows of some of the shorts from Pinwheel thanks to YouTube. Chapi Chapo is his favorite with La Linea (from something else a close second.

So, this was all far earlier than any Nick I watched. I only started seeing it in the mid-90s when I had access to cable on a semi-regular basis. Before that I wasn’t even conscious enough to know it was on. (4/10)

I got 80%, but I didn’t watch Turkey Television or Finders Keepers. Everything else was watchable for me. I definitely remember the New Kids On The Block appearance – It was the summer before the 8th Grade and that show WAS the reason why I became an NKOTB fan! This is why I don’t pick on my step-daughter when she wants to see the Jonas Brothers.
I also watched Count Duckula, Mr Wizard,and Pinwheel but the best show on Nick EVER EVER EVER was You Can’t Do That On Television. That show made Nick what it is today and no show would have gotten away with their jokes today. Even 2 of their episodes have missed replay due to being so controversial. If it wasn’t so expensive to put them into re-runs, I think Nick would still be flogging that horse and I would be watching it!!!

I remember Turkey TV – in fact, I am even humming a few bars of the theme song. Darn the Mr. Wizard question – I always hated him anyway.

Sometimes I feel like the only person who remembers Turkey TV!

I remember seeing the music video for “Fish Heads” by Barnes and Barnes on that show. Disturbing stuff, really.

Plus, did anyone else ever notice that You Can’t Do That on Television was completely modelled after Laugh-In? Think about the announcer in front of the clock and the Joke Wall/Joke Lockers. I remember being blown away by the similarities when I caught Laugh-In on Nick @ Nite.

I agree with Nicole. I used to love Finders Keepers as a kid!

retrojunk.com is really a great website to visit in order to tack a trip down Nostalgia Lane… Lots of shows on there I forgot I used to love.
