Ladies, slip on your legwarmers, shoulder pads and fingerless gloves. Men, dig out your pastel t-shirts to throw on under your blazers and your acid-washed jeans. Gel your hair into a mullet. Go on, we’ll wait here. In fact, while you’re changing, we’ll go ahead and put our Appetite for Destruction tape in our ghetto blaster. OK, now that you’re situated comfortably in the 80s, you’re in the mindset to remember some of the biggest fads of the decade.

Take the quiz: Totally Rad 80s Fads

This week’s lunchtime quizzes will be celebrating the 1980s. We kicked things off a little early with Brett Savage’s Nickelodeon quiz. Stay tuned for lots more, from Bob Ross to Back to the Future.

  1. 100%!! I’m amazed that I remembered that smurfs are only “three apples high”…..funny what random facts we can recall…

  2. so when did demi moore join the brat pack …?

  3. 9/10, I didn’t think jellies were as soft and pleasant as rubber.

As for Demi Moore, I think she was considered part of the Brat Pack as of St. Elmo’s Fire. Same timeframe as Rob Lowe.

  4. 9/10. Not too shabby. The only one I missed was Crocodile Dundee’s name. By including the actor’s name in the list, it through me off. Very sneaky, sis.

Fun quiz, though. I think maybe I should have been reading more books instead of watching so much TV in my youth, though.

  5. 3 out of 10… sad…

But then, I was only born in ‘82, so I guess technically I’m a child of the ’90s.

  6. 8/10!! I too can’t believe I remembered the 3 apples tall thing. Smurftastic!

  7. I got 8/10 pretty good seeing as I was born in 89′ =D

  8. like, I did really well on that, ya know! I totally got eight of them right.

    like, you know, whatever!

  9. 90% – I totally got tricked by the Corey Feldman question (Feldman, Haim – what’s the difference?).

  10. JILL!! Bite your tongue!!! Feldman is sooooo superior to Haim.

  11. I thought jellies were a weird plastic rubber hybrid. Anyway I did surprisingly bad on this quiz considering I have an 80s website. Stupid Teenage mutant Ninja Turtles!

  12. 60% I knew the stuff that was within my age group (mid-teen in the early 80’s) or interest…didn’t know smurfs, croc. dundee, cory and turtles.

  13. Crap! I only got 50% – and at the onset of the 80s, I was 11… so I should’ve done much better.

  14. Speaking of Jellies, may I just say that I find it odd that I’m seeing them in stores again?

    That belongs in my childhood.

  15. 9 out of 10. But I’m a guy, and if I knew the jellies question, that would be an issue in and of itself.
