The season finale of 30 Rock airs tonight, so we decided to bid a fond farewell to yet another fantastic series of episodes with this quiz. What I like most about the show is how so many of the characters’ personality traits mirror my own. Liz Lemon’s dangerously unhealthy eating habits rival mine. Jack Donaghy’s obsessive drive to succeed in business has become something of a model for my own entrepreneurial ambitions (though presently, I have none). Kenneth’s remarkably efficient moralism teaches universal lessons about life. Josh’s severe beating at the savage hands of Elizabeth Taylor (”he might have brain damage”) taught me that it’s unwise to impersonate overly sensitive film legends. And Tracy Jordan’s mentally unstable antics have shown me that…well, they’ve shown me that Tracy is really funny.
A copy of the ‘37 Fads’ issue of mental_floss magazine appears on a desk in one scene of the “Tracy Does Conan” episode from the show’s first season. You scratch our back, we scratch yours. It’s like politics (without all the politics).

I missed the one about what TGS stands for. I’m guessing they covered that in the beginning, I’m a latecomer to the show.

i’m not surprised i got a 13/13 because i’m psychotically obsessed with this show. so much so that i believe i remember seeing an issue of mental floss on a table in tracy jordan’s dressing room during the scene where he’s “buggin’ out” on the ceiling and liz has to call dr. spaceman.
i also think i remember jack bragging about having showered with greta van susteren when he was listing challenging and dangerous things he’d done in his life. i believe that the reference to greta came right after his claim of summiting mount kilimanjaro. :)
