I cannot stand people sexualizing breasts or being disgusted by nursing mothers. Although I probably didn't help people's perception of nursing when I did. I was a young hippy mom and would just whip it out and feed anywhere. People would stare and my husband woulds say "what? my kid's eating her dinner!" hahaha I got a kick out of it!

I just think it's silly that you get upset when people think it's weird that you don't want to have kids and breastfeed, but you insist right there that it's weird to desire those things. Either we're each entitled to our opinions or we aren't, you can't have it both ways.

Also, feces is riddled with bacteria and comparing that to a natural source of nutrients just shows how mixed up your feelings about breasts are. Breast have always historically been for the nutrition of infants, not for the sexualization of women. It is only in the present day that world views about sex, babies, and breasts have clashed.

I respect your right to not want children. I respect your desire to not want to breastfeed. You should respect my desire to do those things. I cover up when I breastfeed in public, but my child deserves to eat when and where she is hungry.

Well, taking a sh*t is also "normal, human and natural" but it doesn't mean I want to watch/discuss/picture other people defecating.

Sonya, well said. People that get creeped out by something so normal, human and natural have issues.

breazy, first of all without milk the baby monkey would have potentially died. So, what would happen? Peta would be like that's the wrong way to save a life? really? As for biting her nipple off it won't happen. Big, small, sharp teeth, no teeth, carnivore, herbivore, or otherwise... animals are all gentle and kind enough towards the ones that they love and see as their parents.

Now, MN... breastfeeding is not some magical warm fuzzy whatever. It is best for human babies and has been scientifically proven to help reduce ear infections, digestive problems, nutritional deficiencies, and even lower the risk for other diseases and infections in babies that are breastfed for at least the first 6 months of life. It has also been scientifically proven to help lower the risk of breast cancer, help one's body get back into shape, and help heal faster for those females that do choose to breast feed. Also, there are cases in which breast milk is essential for survival. I had allergic reaction to many types of formulas and had to be breast fed or die. Not to mention it's a part of life, I mean seriously, how do you walk down the street and look at females without feeling awkward? Every female that has had a kid has produced milk, your mom included.

the baby monkey and the pigeon as well as the tortoise and the hippo where probs the best ones. the indian woman breast feeding the monkey is all kinds of f'd up it just goes to show how cultures differ in certain parts of the world. i can't imagine peta or animal rights activists getting wind of that here in canada . but it begs the question will she still love him like a son when he bites her nipple off?

My family got a Manx kitten in 1987 and named her Ball because of All Ball. She was a mother to most of the animals that lived in our back yard, including puppies.

Interspecies suckling is not as uncommon as one might expect. Many cultures (used to) practice it all over the world. It is most common among certain cultures in Latin American rainforests and the Pacific islands.
