I have four great memories of Carson. Johnny asking Mrs. Arnold Palmer if she did anything before a golf match to help Arnie. She replied that she kissed his balls and Carson immediately answer that that must make his putter rise. The second was as Racquel Welch sat their with her cat in her lap and Johnny asking her if he could pet her pussy. Third is when Burt Reynolds and Dom Deluise were guests and they went through many eggs and whipped cream messing with each other on stage, including Deluise coming from behind Reynolds as he was either telling jokes or speaking to the audience, reaching around Reynolds, putting an egg down the front of his leather pants and then smacking the egg to break it in his pants. The fourth was Buddy Hackett telling a short joke about a hunter, a farmer and the ball kicking contest to see who owned a duck but taking what seemed like 15 to 20 minutes to tell and act out the joke. Carson was laughing so hard he could barely speak.

Thanks to Mattie, from the Magician's Alliance for that clarification. And I believe the correct term is 'illusion', not trick. A trick is something a whore does for money.

Not to quibble over small facts, but James Randi isn't a magician he is a Mentalist. There's a big difference in calling him a magician (which implies the actual use of magic) rather than a mentalist (someone who uses sleight of hand and clever research in order to fool the audience). I only say this because James Randi has long tried to debunk so-called magicians and psychics.

Other than that, I really loved this article. I apologize for being such a nerd about it.

That poem really pulled at the old heart strings. I couldn't help but think of Dana Carvey's impressions of Mr. Stewart, however!
