It’s still early in the Major League Baseball season, but some teams have already been ravaged by injuries. Before fans of the Brewers or Yankees start to feel sorry for themselves, though, remember an even more star-crossed team: Mr. Burns’ collection of all-star ringers brought in to play for the Springfield Nuclear Power Plant’s softball nine. Do you remember what ultimately sidelined each player?
Take The Simpsons Softball Quiz, then come back and let us know how you did.

that episode was great. i especially liked the roster of ringers Mr. Burns originally selected, and changed when Smithers pointed out most of the players had been dead for 100 years.

7/9 – Nice quiz. I was surprised how much I remembered from that episode.

Another quiz that I can ace…Ok, so I know my Simpsons and my Sesame Street. What does that say about me?

If gazillion were a real number I’d have seen it that many times.

100% I knew I’d ace this one, I can still sing the song from the end of the episode “we’re talking softball, from Maine to San Diego..we’re talking softball Mattingly and Canseco Ken Griffey’s grotesquely swollen jaw Steve Sax and his run in with the law
we’re talking Homer Ozzie and the Straw”

100% Being a huge Simpsons fan/trivia buff, anything less would be shameful.

9/9 When you think about how long ago this episode came out is amazing that some of these guys played until just recently (or still do).

9/9 — 100%
Wow! Figures that it’s a Simpsons quiz when I finally score my first 100% on one of these quizzes.
Feh, I’m proud anyway…

7/9–though I should have got the Steve Sax one as I can also sing the song! Dang!

Weird. I had that song stuck in my head since yesterday. 7/9 not bad. I think the Mystery Spot should be condemned.

That episode and Flaming Moe’s are my two favorite. Both have great songs also!

9/9, a great episode, but still not homer and the guatemalan (sp?) insanity peppers

100%, though Darryl Strawberry was replaced after hitting 9 home runs by a pinch hitter, not a pinch runner. Burns was playing the odds, having a right handed hitter face a left handed pitcher.
