Tragedies all. I wrote Gilda a fan letter in the late 80s (not too long before she was first diagnosed, if my memory serves me correctly).

Like so many entertainers who died before their time, I can only imagine her untapped comedic genius.

Jim Henson should be on the list too, as his Muppets were part of the featured players for the first season.

Hartman’s death still makes me the most viscerally angry.

My tabby cat was named Toonces, because my mother watched so much of the chauffer cat. “No Toonces No!” she would say when he did something wrong LOL but it’s weird but I was on Zoloft too and it mad me soooo paranoid and overly angry at everyone(especially my boyfriend and brother) I told my doctor what it did and she said she would stop prescribing it to her patients because 3 people complaining was enough for her.

I never heard of Charles Rocket until I ran the film Dumb and Dumber. C. Rocket played the part of the extortionist trying to liberate the caseful of money from Harry and Lloyd

Gilda Radner was amazing,just amazing. If anyone has read her book, they know what a struggle and toll the cancer was. Best acts were proabally emily litella and the sleepover skit.She had so many dreams for the future,and she died way too soon.

Charlie Rocket had been due to film the SNL 80′s documentary a few hours after he committed suicide. I call that motive.

Charlie’s genuine mistake of swearing on live TV on SNL in 81 was one of the factors of his suicide. Swearing on live TV probably doesn’t effect most of us or those that swear nowadays but for a man like Charlie the effects were very different.

I put my opinion in a thread on the imdb message boards under his name called ” rediscovering a man called Charlie Claverie “. I do stress it is only an opinion and others may think differently.

I met Phil Hartman a number of times when I would to go NewsRadio tapings. He really was the sweetest guy in the world and it still pains me after ten years to realize that he is still gone. Like Clindylover1969, I didn’t realize Danitra Vance had died either. :(
