Snap, sorry, Chris, I just noticed your “note” above about the inspiration for your post. That’s why the Noid thing was so familiar. Sad that living in proximity to the Domino’s hostage crisis is my lame claim to fame.

Weird, I mentioned the Noid hostage situation in the comments section a couple months ago. We used to live down the street from that Domino’s when I was a kid. We weren’t supposed to leave the house, it was all over the news. Crazy, but that’s how I learned what the word “hostage” meant. Avoid the Noid, indeed.

The Noid scared me, too. I hate the Noid. I have always hated the Noid. I hate the word noid and I hate the way that thing looks. The Noid is sick.

I had Avoid the Noid for DOS back when I was a kid. It is because of this that I remember the Noid because I was too young to see the commercials.

Avoid The Noid. Avoid Dominos! What dreck that pizza is. Tom Monaghan has used his Dominos wealth to support pro-life and conservitave political / religious causes. He’s building an all Catholic college and community in South Florida where porn and contraceptives (among other things) will be banned.

I had the game “Avoid the Noid” when I was younger. I have fond memories of playing that game on my first computer, a Tandy 1000EX.
