A little Chicago trivia (welcome, trivia show!):

An excellent punk band, the Lawrence Arms, comes from the same scene as the Alkaline Trio.

The members of TLA were evicted from their crappy apartment, in the Lawrence Arms, in the middle of the night.

Alkaline Trio just wanted “Trio” in their name, and so they flipped from the beginning of the dictionary.

…ummm, no. AC/DC stands for Alternating Current/Direct Current. It means that the appliance in question can run on both types of electric power currents. Other than that, the story of the sewing machine is correct.
