I visited a local hardware store today and bough popcorn and diet soda… not typical hardware store purchases. But today’s Brain Game IS about something you’d likely buy at a hardware store. Try this one on for size:

You visit a local hardware store for a particular purchase.
The clerk tells you that 6 would be $1.50
and that 12 will cost you $3, but adds that
he’d be happy to sell you 9680 for only $6.

What is it that you’re buying?

See the answer here.

  2. You are buying house numerals at the price of $1.50 each.

  3. Hey! I figured this one out! LOL

  4. Darn, my only guess was broken calculators

  5. Hey I actually got one right! Woo Hoo!

  6. My fiancee can only find the brand of microwave popcorn he likes at the local hardware store.

  7. Hah! HAHA! Oh, man, hardware. As in… yeah. I was thinking computers. Note to self: don’t do things immediately after waking up.

  8. You’re buying street numbers for your house or letterbox. Either that, or you are in an exponential, base 12 universe or something.

  9. Yeah it’s letter cards each priced at $1.50. So one 9, one 6, one 8 and one 0 would be $6.
