Holy Cross won in 1952. One of 7 seven schools to win both the CWS and the Men's Final Four. I hope not to mess up your research.

I don't believe the following is correct since John H. Peterman is a Holy Cross graduate of 1963.

"The real J. Peterman, who is not to be confused with the actor John O’Hurley (above), hit .450 for the 1952 Holy Cross team that won the CWS title and later played three seasons in the Pittsburgh Pirates’ system."

I agree with Nicole, the Bayou is really cool (and perfect for those LSU fans). The albino alligator is really creepy!

However, the Desert Dome is definitely not the best part of the zoo. The aquarium is pretty cool, and the indoor rainforest is huge and amazing. If you're ever in Omaha, definitely check Henry Doorly out!

And eat some steak, because Nebraska's beef is best. :)

Stu, you're correct about the 1998 championship and that's hardly being picky. My mistake.

I want to add that under the Desert Dome is a very cool Kingdoms of the Night exhibit. It includes bat caves, cave waterfalls, a recreation of the Bayou, and other night related exhibits. My favorite area has to be the Bayou where you walk over a creaky dock and have alligators, otters, beavers and others swimming under you.

Since it's underground, the exhibit is kept dark in the day time and the lights are turned on at night to recreate the sun. In this way, it allows the nocturnal animals to be active during regular visiting hours.

Florida will have to wait another year. LSU is back in Omaha this year for the first time in four years and we will make mincemeat of the competition. I predict 2008 as the year we will emerge as Football National Champions and Baseball National Champions! Geaux Tigers!

Hate to be picky, but USC blew out Arizona State in the 1998 championship game. LSU has never lost a College World Series Championship game.
