Well, yesterday’s was a head-scratcher, so I figured hump-day was the day to spring an easier one. It helps that both words share the “O” in the 3rd spot.

No, she changed one only
from Shot to Shoe reguires only the t change to an e.
You changed SOOT to SHOP — requiring two letters to change O to H and T to P. Not allowed.
