Huh. I have always wondered about runes. I didn’t know if they were real or not. I figured not, guess I was wrong. any particular reason why they’re mostly in Scandinavia and not in the rest of the pre-Roman Germanic world.

I’m sure it’s no coincidence that the stone in that picture and the door to Moria in LotR: The Fellowship of the Ring look very similar.
