Jason English
But enough about us. Let’s talk about you.

survey.jpgThis isn’t one of those boring ‘How rich are you?’/'When was the last time you bought a toaster?’ surveys. We want to know your favorite school subject, what you collect, your dream vacation, what topics you’d like to see mental_floss tackle, and other tidbits along those lines.

And to make it (potentially) worth your time, one lucky person chosen at random will win a $25 shopping spree in the mental_floss store. We’ll announce the winner on Monday.

  1. So, Jason English–are you a dad yet?

  2. That quiz rocked!

  3. One $25 winner? Man, what a way to get marketing data, story ideas and demographics on the cheap. To think other companies spend hundreds of thousands of dollars for data like that.

  4. Still childless. Any day now…

And we’ll try to get hundreds of thousands of dollars for surveys in next fiscal year’s budget. This year, that money was blown on bowling (mentalfloss.com/blogs/archives/10163).

  5. i will prostitute my brain for MF scrilla. ideas:

    - the science of cheese production. for example, how does swiss cheese get those neat little holes?
    - the health benefits of chocolate and/or caffiene

i think my ideas should win because they may stimulate consumption of these items, and therefore, the economy. this is a stimulus package i can personally endorse.

  6. Heather: the holes in Swiss cheese come from gas bubbles. I was going to give you a URL to reference, but it won’t allow URLs in comments. Good topic though, I wanna know more!

  7. OK, my comment doesn’t seem to have taken.

  8. Yum cheese. But seriously what about a post on weird kitchen gadgets?
A thats used for what piece? Or even strangely shaped ones- I have a collection of measuring spoons in animal shapes.

  9. Happy Birthday Jason! (I only remember because I know we share a birthday…..us and the governator.)
