The Sound of One Hand Clapping (really, really quickly)
by Mangesh Hattikudur - July 9, 2008 - 1:02 PM

Picture 17.pngI was reading over this week’s Beat Our Fact contest, when I saw Jennifer Hedrick’s entry. (SPOILER: she was one of the winners). Jennifer wrote that Navneet Singh holds a record for clapping 284 times in one minute… with just one hand! Despite the fact that we had already fact-checked the thing, I had to look it up the record for myself. You have to take a look at this. The guy’s a one-man, one-hand applause machine. The video’s in Hinglish, and it’s from an India’s Got Talent-style variety show, but man is it amazing. Oh, and if you’re looking to book Mr. Singh for your morning show, or perhaps a birthday party, it seems his contact info is listed there as well.

  1. I could so beat this guy… nothing official but I just did like 130 claps in less than 30 sec. A little training and I am soooo there. Just wait – Youtube awaits.

The problem is that my shoudler gets fatigued easitly – nothing a little time won’t fix

  2. No kidding… that is definitely beatable. :) … with a little training, because, like Justin said, it does wear out your shoulder.

Not to boast too much, but I can also do a fair amount of one *finger* clapping in a minute, if you want to call it clapping.
