Instead of wringing their hands about methane emissions, they could do something productive like use it.

You know those commercials with Jay Bush and his dog Duke? The plant in Tennessee that processes and cans Bush’ Beans captures all the methane that is produced as the beans are cooked and uses it – saves energy and saves them money.

Ummm…, wasn’t there a mythbusters were it was determined that cows expel more methane from their burps than their farts? Correct me if I am wrong, but I seem to remember that number being a bit higher when done that way. Of course MB is hardly a definitive way to find those things out, but just something to think about.
