  27. @jordan: Both are interpretations of a Yakov Smirnoff-style joke. Oddly enough, “Family Guy” is not the origin of humor.

And, very good choices here, but A.

    (Did I mention “A”?)

  80. Definitely B. It cracked me up like none other. Although A was a fairly close second.

  81. B

  82. Voting for A is like thinking Carlos Mencia is funny — ripping off other’s jokes is not funny.

    reCAPTCHA = the exclusive

    You heard it here first!

    G is funny ~ that’s Prince driving!

  83. Definitely B.
    A is just someone else’s joke….

    reCAPTCHA:
    Mainzer worthy

  84. J! Hilarious.

  85. Ohmigoodness. H, I, and J are all fabulous!!! I’m not sure I can decide… I guess I’ll go with…..

    I!!!

  86. I

How could it be Russia, doesn’t anyone else see the catcus in the background??

  87. A for sure!

  88. aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa. A.

  89. B

  90. B or F are both very funny.

  91. B

  92. I

    “raked 10.”

  93. B

  94. A, it’s called a “callback” people. I really doubt the intent was to pass it off as original.

Also, can we all agree to stop encouraging the lame “priceless” jokes after 5 years?

  95. A

It might be old, but it is still the funniest option there.

  96. F, but I also concur with some of the other posters that the selections were pretty weak this time around.

  97. B.

    Too funny.

  98. B!!

  99. I thought mine was better, but given the options, I go with “B”.

  100. I can’t decide between H and I.

  101. B!

  102. B!

  103. a) In Soviet Russia, party crashes you! [this is a good line, but the geographic connection is not there]
    b) Melvin now realized that the piano on Thursday and the wardrobe yesterday were not freak accidents….someone wanted him dead.[this gets my vote, Melvin’s realization is subtle, and wry enough to be funny]
    c) Dude… this party is gonna leave us with a killer of a hangover! [too obtuse, no one is really talking]
    d) Reservation at the B&B: $150
    Sportscar rental: $82.50
Getting the extra insurance: Priceless [this refernce to the Credit Card Commercial is too dated]
    e) The final seconds before a spectacular ending to Newton’s First Law of Motion. [Intelligent, but not funny]
    f) Alright Jim, I’ll give you this one, aside from coincidence there IS an element of irony here. [I didn’t see where the irony or coincidence is in the story line of the occupants]
    g) Tonight we’re gonna Party like it’s $19.99! [this was funny when Apu said it, or a variation of it, not here]
    h) “…and here I thought it would be the balloon mortgage payments that would kill us.” [if you could connect balloon-mortgage to balloon-party favors you would have won, no contest]
    i) THIS is the LAST time I ask you for any favors!! [Not funny, the occupants are not really reacting as tho they have seen the truck]
    j) Hey Jimmy, do me a favor and speed up! Some clown is chasing us. [If anyone is talking it looks like the driver, so this makes no sense.]

  104. b. definitely b

  105. Poor little E hasn’t received ANY votes…though I sense there’s about to be swell of support.
    And, O.K., it’s mine.
I maybe should have defined the First Law. Yes! That’s it! WAY funnier!
An object in motion tends to stay in motion with the same speed and in the same direction unless acted upon by an unbalanced force.

  106. Okay, so I was at work and a bunch of us voted together (for B) but I have been informed by my sister that I should vote for hers because it’s funnier. Voting for E (out of loyalty but I still think B is funnier).

  107. To ‘ My thoughts’ re the comments about entry “C” :

Andy Dufresne: How can you be so obtuse?
Warden Samuel Norton: What? What did you call me?
Andy Dufresne: Obtuse? Is it deliberate?
Warden Samuel Norton: You’re forgetting yourself.
    _________
Warden Samuel Norton : You understand me? Catching my drift?… Or am I being obtuse?
    [beat]
Warden Samuel Norton: [to Hadley] Give him another month to think about it.

Also, you wrote that no one is really talking’. Well, F-J apparently feel that someone was or could’ve been doing so.

  108. I’m gonna have to go for E. B is a close second though.

  109. I don’t care if A was plagerized from Family Guy (who, by the way, borrowed it from a well known previous on-going joke, such as “In Soviet Russia, television watches you!” or “In Soviet Russia, cow eats you!”)…A was pretty witty to make the connection. My vote is for “A” :)

  110. A. is a ref. to Yakov Smirnov,80s Russian comedian

    J. is the only one that made me laugh, but they are all lame

  111. B. It gave me warm feelings of spy vs spy for some reason.

  112. B
    I can relate to Melvin…
