  1. 8 of 10…I read WAY too many of these books as a kid and to my kids! :) “Happy Birthday To You” was a fave.

  2. 9 of 10. I never do well on these quizzes, but Dr. Seuss’ ABC Book is one of my daughter’s favorites.

  3. Why were over half of them from one book (the ABC book)?

  4. That was fun! Wish it were twice as long :)

  5. 5/10. I feel like I failed childhood! :) But I feel better if most of them were from one book (which I never read). I was a big “Wocket in my Pocket” fan.

  6. I think that was actually Thing Two… but we’ll never know, since someone blurred out the numbering! :)

  7. I got 8/10. Funny that most of them I didn’t know. (Just made good guesses.)
And I’ve read a TON of Seuss to/with my daughter–and as a kid myself.
Just not the ABC book for some reason.

  8. Yipee! 100%. But then again I have the ABC book memorized. Did you know that you can read/sing the ABC book to the tune of the ABC song.

  9. I enjoyed it, and got a perfect score (I’m a sahm of two) - but I agree with the earlier comment that it doesn’t make sense to have most of these come from the ABC book! I move for a NEW quiz, with no more than one character per book! All in favor?

  10. I second Piseco!

  11. I third Piseco! Seven of them were from the ABC book (which was one of my daughter’s favorites when she was little and the first book she could “read”)

  12. Wow! I got 9 out of 10 correct.
    I was floober-gasted!

  13. Am I the only one that thinks Uncle Ubb looks remarkably like Uncle Adolf?

  14. okay gang. this was just a warmup. look for the next seuss quiz coming next month!

  15. 100% I can almost recite th entire ABC book from memory and my youngest is now 12. Must have read it every night for 4 years. Have to agree that it would have been more of a challenge to see characters from One Fish, Two Fish, The Lorax and Fox in Sox to name of few.

  16. 100%! I was afraid of running into a bunch of books that were written after my childhood, but my kids had the ABC book.

  17. Yeah, 100%. Dr. Seuss’s ABC’s was one of my favorite books as a kid. I actually have portions of it memorized. :)

  18. Wow, that was my best quiz yet! 100%…and yes, Young Yolanda Yanderson was Yodeling on that poor Yak’s back.

I had the ABC book about 100% memorized 6 months in to kid #1. After kid #2, it was not even worth turning the pages! ;-)

    Dr. Seuss FTW!

  19. 100%…though I wish I could claim its due to my enormous love for Dr. Seuss (and I do have a serious love for Ted!), my success was directly attributable to being a mom to a 3yo who LOVES the ABC book. Love the 100%, but we need some Lorax love on the next round.

  20. I smoked it too. 100%, yee ha! My son is *8* now and I still know the whole flippin’ ABC book by heart (scary).

  21. 100% baby! Course, I read these books to my son every night- I may have had an unfair advantage. i actually thought this was too easy! It would be more difficult to name some of the creatures from the Sleep Book, the Sneetches and other stories, etc.. On beyond Zebra too. I love Dr.Seuss!

  22. 8/10… thank goodness for the ABC book, and my 4-year-old. What acool idea for a quiz.
