garden.jpgMy job requires that I spend a lot of time indoors, and so my friends tend to do the same. Two cohorts of mine – Edward Carter and Johnny Millikin – decided to try their hands at gardening this year. John has planted rows of onion and pumpkin, while Ed is raising watercress and cabbage.

But taking into mind that both of them are Brain Game fans, why did they choose those particular crops?

Here’s the answer.

  1. Perhaps Johnny should only raise a single onions and a single pumpkin, as more than one will present a problem: s is (in general) typed with the left hand.

  2. You’re right, mc, I should’ve used the singular version to avoid confusion. I’ve reworded things slightly to fix that. Thanks!

  3. Any chance Edward’s wife is a stewardess? (politically incorrect, I know, as they should be called flight attendants, but then it wouldn’t work, now would it?)

  4. Sure hope Edward’s garden isn’t plagued with weeds.

    Or crabgrass.
