The iPhone SIM Removal Tool
by Chris Higgins - July 22, 2008 - 5:30 PM

Here’s a silly thing that brightened my day. When you mail in an original iPhone for repair, Apple provides the “iPhone SIM Removal Tool” to help you take out your SIM card before sending the phone in. The “tool” is very familiar….

Note: a more stylized “SIM eject tool” is available with the iPhone 3G. See a picture of it here. (I prefer the classic tool — it has other uses, too….)

  1. 1 year too late on reporting this. This has been posted widely.

  2. Johnie, please leave comments like that at gizmodo

  3. That’s what Alton Brown would call a multi-tasker…

  4. I bought my iPhone last week and thought the removal tool was sleek and sexy…I also wondered how long someone at Apple was tasked with the design of it, how much was spent on the design, and how many other tools they considered…Apple doesn’t do anything half-assed, and this tool is so pretty and groovy, you have to think it probably cost a dime or two and there were probably 50 other possibilities…at least I like to think so…

  5. I found this hilarious.

    :D
