Eddie Carmel wasn’t really 8’9″ as Ringling Brothers billed him. He was actually closer to 7’7″, memorable picture though. I seem to remember a similar one of Robert Wadlow who was an amazing 8’11″.

Very informative, I didn’t realize there were such interesting stories behind the pictures. I have read Andre the Giant’s story. He had a very difficult life, I imagine Eddie Carmel did as well.
