Enjoyed the quiz- -but I question the assertion that the KISS comic in question was or is Marvel’s biggest seller ever. While I’m sure it sold plenty of copies, at over 8 million copies sold, the 1990s re-launch of their flagship title, The X-Men, is the record holder.

I learned about the waldo banning when my elementary school librarian put up the list of 100 Most Frequently Challenged Books along with their location in our library.

many years later, on the night of my 21st birthday I was very drunk in the house of a friend, who happened to own the waldo books. I spent almost an hour looking for the figure in question. when I found it I screamed to a friend across the room (which was mostly empty by this point in the evening) “I found the boobie!!!!”

I will never live it down.

Ban-tastic! But only barely…if it hadn’t been for the essay + speech I did last year for English (on banned books ), I know my score would have been much less. As it is, I got 3 of those 8 right because of the research I did on the ALA website…

You might want to disqualify Question 2, since the author’s name is misspelled. It’s Dav Pilkey (see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dav_Pilkey).
