I live in a community with a large Hispanic population, and to this day, every time I hear that melody (which is fairly often as it is from a classic Mexican folk song) my brain automattically sings along with those lyrics – even after 40+ years….

The Noid made a bit of a cameo in the recent Domino’s “Oh Yes We Did”/”We Promise Our Pizza Doesn’t Suck Anymore” campaign.

In one of the ads where they are interviewing a series of Domino’s corporate employees, one of them has a stuffed Noid on his/her desk. I haven’t seen the commercial in a couple of months, but if mascots are your type of thing, you might want to keep an eye out for the ad, and him.

In watching Toy Story 3 with my kids, I realized that Lotso reminds me a lot of Sugar Bear, for some reason.

I will always remember The MILLER LITE GIRLS and their never-ending battle for GREAT TASTE that’s LESS FILLING.
Their epic was struggle was truly something to see(especially when then wore something you could BARELY see).

They could even make a comeback,I’m thinking as a NEW series of ads(with a little modern tweaking).

Those Quizno’s characters weren’t original. They came from a site called rathergood.com and the original song they did is called “We Love The Moon.” A guy named Joel Veitch who lives in England created them, as well as a bunch of other funny characters that appear in some very clever Flash animations on the site. Check them out. He’s very prolific with them.
